Post-production on photography.
I call this a "composite moment" - the best parts of (usually) two images taken only a second or two apart. It is "a truth," or an idealized truth. Nothing is actually fake here, with the exception of my "manipulation of time." Please note that I am not a photojournalist. I do this for the enjoyment of my personal images (like this one), or to get a job done, as in the next example.
The original photo is on the left. The young women at 2 o'clock and 7 o'clock were leaning in ways that mussed their hair and stretched their shirts. This has been resolved in the right hand image, where I have also imported a better view of the head of the young woman in purple.

I AM VERY GOOD AT MAKING IMAGES LOOK THEIR BEST. WHEN I DO MY BEST WORK, YOU WON'T KNOW IT.
This has the ironic side effect of making it harder for people to notice my skills.
MY EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
Tonal and color correction, retouching, compositing, matching to color values, fine masking, selective sharpening for focus and contrast, optimizing for CMYK, optimizing for web, channel work. Real duo-/tri-/quadtones. spot colors in Photoshop, working within total ink coverage requirements, tricks for dealing with problematic images, and teaching all of this stuff to others. I also have experience with the Cumulus asset management system.
I do not, however, transform models into impossibly perfect humans.
